Inkampus recently launched a feature similar to ratemyprofessor.com (RMP). What do you all think abt this new feature? I think its pretty cool and much much better than RMP.

The inkampus implementation is 20 times better than RMP. The problem with RMP is that it allows anyone to post anonymous comments as many times as they like.

I went to RMP and saw the #1 Top Prof rating and looking at the reviews it looks like the same prof was rating himself from different computers. The review comments looks VERY similar to each other. So there is no way to genuinely identify a correct rating over there.

Inkampus "Rate My Course" is different. Though you can post anonymous, you can only rate the same course once and edit it later if you like. You can even mark a course as "you are currently taking the course". So others who are currently taking it or would like to take it in future can contact you. Notification feature is nice too, I will get a message if someone rates that course.

Another advantage is you can rate as many courses or professors you liked. I think they did a lot of research plus took users feedback before implementing it. So it is definitely useful to me. Also like RMP, it takes less than one minute to submit ratings. I love it.

Yeah. This site is much better for rating profs. We can leave ratings for our juniors, who can make an informed decision before selecting a course; just like we would benefit from ratings left by our seniors.

A community (like Inkampus) only works when everyone contributes to it. Hence, if you are reading this and have not rated any course, please do so now and help everyone.

Hey, the entire site is free and you will certainly learn a lot from it, so why not give back?

Agreed Priyanka. If you goto RMP forums; you will see many people complaining abt RMP site. They complain about false reviews, confusing ratings, not listening to users, etc. Atleast inkampus listens to feedback from the users and actually implements them. Definitely helpful for all of us.

Now we need to spread the word and let more people know & sign up over here.
